Research Description

My research interests focus on mammalian social behavior. I'm especially interested in intraspecific variation - why do some members of a species behave one way and others behave differently under similar circumstances? Currently, I'm collaborating with Dr. Jenn Smith at Mills College to study variation in sociality in California ground squirrels. I'm collecting behavioral observations, gut microbiome samples and spatial data to tease apart the causes and consequences of variable social behavior within a long-term study population in Briones Regional Park in the San Francisco Bay Area.

If our interests overlap, I'd love to hear from you!
